Our background

Jamyang Bath is a satellite group of Jamyang Buddhist Centre, London. See www.jamyang.co.uk for more information.

We are a small group of experienced students of Tibetan Buddhism who have been meeting to study together in Bath and Bristol for about 2 years. Now we would like to offer some of the benefits of Buddhist philosophy and practice to a wider audience.

Jamyang is part of the Foundation of the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT): www.fpmt.org, founded in 1975 by Lama Thubten Yeshe (1935-84), and Lama Zopa Rinpoche. There are 155 centres, projects and services in 35 countries worldwide which are under the spiritual direction of Lama Zopa Rinpoche and the FPMT. The FPMT offers teachings in the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
